That One Lucky Day — When Everything Flows in Golf and Life

Keywords: golf luck, perfect golf day, golf mindset, life and golf, lucky day, flow state golf, life moments 1. The Rare Day 1년에 한 번쯤 오는 날 There are days in golf that feel… different. Not better because you tried harder. Not better because you changed something. Just different. Almost like— everything is on your side. 2. Tee Shots That Never Miss You stand on the tee box. You swing like usual. And somehow— Every ball goes straight. Every drive lands softly in the fairway. No stress. No doubt. Just… smooth. 3. The Approach Feels Like Magic From 100 meters out, you don’t overthink. You swing. And the ball— lands gently, rolls slowly, and stops near the hole. Almost like it knows where to go. 4. Putts That Just Fall Then comes the putt. You read the line. You tap it. And somehow— the ball finds the hole. Not forced. Not lucky in a loud way. Just… naturally. Like it belongs there. 5. On days like this, you don’t f...

Dating, Yes. Marriage, No — Just Like Golf

Keywords: golf mindset, dating vs marriage, life lessons from golf, golf philosophy, choice and commitment, golf and life, decision making 1. The Moment Before the Swing Every golfer knows this feeling. You stand over the ball. The wind is slightly against you. The pin is tucked on the left side. Your ball is sitting just below your feet. And then, quietly— “Which club should I choose?” It’s not just about distance. It’s about judgment, feeling, and trust. 2. Golf Is a Game of Choices There is no single right answer in golf. For the same distance, one player chooses a 7-iron, another chooses a 6. It depends on everything: Wind direction Green position Ball lie Your confidence today Every shot is a decision. And once you swing, you cannot take it back. 3. Dating Feels Like That Dating은 자유로운 선택이다 Dating is very similar. You are free to choose. There is no fixed rule saying this is the “only right person” or the “only right timing.” Some days...

A Perfect Golf Day at Crown Country Club (크라운 CC에서 완벽한 하루!!)

이미지
A Perfect Golf Day at Crown Country Club  😊 I had a wonderful round of golf today. Even though it had been a while since my last game, everything felt smooth and enjoyable. My playing partners were all very considerate, and we encouraged each other throughout the round. It turned into a truly fun and relaxed day of golf. Surprisingly, I scored 82 ! My driver was consistent in both distance and direction, and although my putting is not fully back yet, I can feel my game improving. The weather was perfect—warm spring air with almost no wind. It felt like one of those rare, perfect golf days. I believe that visualizing shots in your mind is also a great form of practice. With two more rounds scheduled next week, I’m excited to see my game come back even stronger.

⛳Golf Feels a Lot Like Life (골프는 인생과 닮았다)

이미지
Golf feels a lot like life . Maybe that’s why it feels so familiar. Standing on the tee box, I give my best swing. But honestly… I never know exactly where the ball will land. If I’ve practiced—distance, direction, consistency— there’s a good chance (maybe 90%) the ball flies straight and rests softly on the fairway. But without effort, without intention, the same wide and beautiful fairway suddenly feels very small. And the ball? It disappears into places I didn’t plan to go. Life is similar. It doesn’t move just because I decide. It moves when I act. Action and effort—always part of the story. And still, even in golf… the ball doesn’t always land where I want. Sometimes it rolls into deep rough. Sometimes it sinks into a bunker I’d rather avoid. But even then, with patience and effort, I can bring it back to safety. Tomorrow, I’m going to play a fun round at Crown GC in Jeju. Just thinking about it already fills me with excitement— like preparing for a smal...

9 Hours, One Goal: My USGTF Journey in the U.S.(9시간, 샌디에고의 나의 USGTF 여정)

이미지
There are some memories that stay with you—not because they were perfect, but because they meant something. Years ago, I drove alone from San Francisco to San Diego. It was about a nine-hour journey, just me on the road, heading toward a one-week program with the USGTF-United States Golf Teachers Federation, staying there with other participants. It wasn’t easy. The schedule was intense, and every day demanded focus, discipline, and energy. But I was all in. I wanted to grow—not just as a golfer, but as someone who could teach the game. By the end of the week, I successfully completed the program and passed the written exam. That moment felt solid—like something I had truly earned. The playing test, though, was another challenge. At the time, even female participants had to shoot 82 from the white tees to pass. I gave it everything I had… and finished with an 86. **  FYI - since 2023, feamle ones has shot 82 from red tees to pass. Close—but not quite enough. So I didn’t pas...

😅 Stuck in the Bunker… Three Times (Golf Story + English):3

One day, I was having a pretty decent round. Not amazing, but not bad either. Then I made one small mistake… And everything changed. 🏖️ The Bunker My ball landed in a greenside bunker. I wasn’t too worried. I thought, “This should be easy.” 😬 First Shot I stepped into the bunker and took my swing. The sand moved… but the ball didn’t. One of my playing partners said, “Still in the bunker.” I smiled awkwardly and said, “Oops…” 😅 Second Shot I tried again. This time, I hit harder. Too hard. The ball hit the edge… and rolled back into the bunker. Someone said, “That’s unlucky.” I replied, “Yeah… very unlucky.” But honestly… it was not just bad luck 😅 😓 Third Shot Now I was nervous. I could feel everyone watching me. I said quietly, “Okay… focus.” I swung again… And yes… 👉 Still in the bunker. 😆 Finally Out On my fourth try, I finally got the ball out. I looked at my friends and sai...

⛳ I Almost Lost Money… But One Putt Saved Me (Golf Story + English)

이미지
One day, I joined a golf game with people I didn’t know. One guy wanted to bet one dollar. It was a small betting round. Nothing serious… but I kept losing money. Honestly, I was not playing well that day. My shots were not bad, but my putting was bad. 😅 The Situation Got Worse As the round went on, I felt more pressure. One player said, “You can still come back.” I smiled and said, “I hope so.” But inside, I was thinking, “Today is not my day…” ⛳ The Last Hole Finally, we arrived at the last hole. I still hadn’t won anything. Then something interesting happened. I had a long putt for birdie . Not easy at all. One of the players said, “That’s a tough putt.” I replied, “I’ll just try my best.” 🎯 The Moment I took a deep breath. Slow backswing… smooth stroke… And then… The ball rolled… and rolled… It went straight into the hole. 😲 Everyone Was Surprised Someone shouted, “What a putt!” Another player sa...

✍A Golf Day I Had Been Waiting For

Yesterday, I finally returned to the golf course after almost three months away. The place was Raon Golf Club . I went with two of my favorite golf partners. Just that alone made the day special. And the weather? Perfect. But honestly, the round didn’t start yesterday. It started the night before. I felt excited—like I was going on a picnic. That light, happy feeling… the kind you don’t get from everyday life. “Tomorrow, I’m playing golf again.” That thought alone made me smile. After three months away, I didn’t expect much. But surprisingly, I played better than I thought. Some shots felt solid. Some swings felt familiar. For a moment, I thought, “Maybe… I didn’t lose it.” But golf is never that simple. Something was missing. My swing tempo. It used to be smooth, natural, almost effortless. But yesterday, it felt slightly rushed… a little out of sync. Not bad enough to ruin the round, but just enough to bother me after every hole. You know that feeling? When you’re playing “oka...

⛳ What Golf Taught Me in San Francisco

Living and studying in San Francisco was one of the most meaningful experiences in my life. Golf is more than just a sport. When you play golf, every shot teaches you something. In many ways, golf is very similar to life. Sometimes things go exactly as planned. Sometimes they don’t. But the most important thing is to keep playing and keep improving. Golf helped me meet new people improve my English and experience a different culture Looking back now, San Francisco will always be a special place in my heart. 그곳에서 저는 Golf, Life, and English 를 함께 배웠습니다 . And even today, I still enjoy learning and growing through golf. Becaus...

⛳ A Small Moment That Made Me Happy

Today something made me really happy. Recently, I started writing a blog about simple golf English sentences . The idea was simple. Many Korean golfers love traveling overseas to play golf, but sometimes they feel nervous about speaking English at the golf course. So I thought: "Why not share a few simple sentences that golfers can actually use?" Nothing complicated. Just 10 short sentences that anyone can remember. 1) A Message That Made My Day Today, something unexpected happened. A member from our public 9-hole golf band read my post and said to me: “I’m going on an overseas golf trip in April. Your sentences will really help me.” That short message made me smile. I realized something important. Sometimes we think what we are doing is small. Just writing a few sentences. Just sharing a simple idea. But for someone else, it might be exactly what they needed. 2) Golf, Language, and Connection Golf is a very special sport. You can meet people from di...

⛳ My Golf Internship Experience in San Francisco

I n my previous post, I shared my special story about studying for my MBA in San Francisco. While working on my MBA and writing my thesis on Golf Marketing , I had the opportunity to work as an intern at a golf company in San Francisco. For someone who loves golf, this was an exciting opportunity. Working in English, learning how the golf business operates, and adapting to a new work environment required a lot of effort. Because I was surrounded by golf , a sport I truly enjoy. I met many golfers and customers, and every conversation helped me improve my English communication skills . Sometimes the work was challenging, but it was always meaningful and rewarding. After completing my internship, I was offered the chance to continue working at the compa...
