Just 30 Minutes Changed My Morning!

[My vegetable garden after pulling the weeds]

This morning, I took my two Jindo dogs for a walk as usual.

When I came back home, I looked at my vegetable garden.

The butterflies had already eaten most of my vegetables, and the weeds had grown everywhere.

For several days, I kept telling myself,

"I'll do it tomorrow."

It was too hot.

Too humid.

I felt tired.

I always had another excuse.

Finally, I rolled up my sleeves and made one small promise to myself.

"Just 30 minutes."

At first, I only planned to clean one side of the garden.

But once I started, I couldn't stop.

When I finally looked at my watch, I had been pulling weeds for a full hour.

Thankfully, I finished around 7 a.m., just before the summer sun became too strong.

Looking at the clean garden made me feel lighter, almost like a student who had just finished homework.

Later, I watched The Open on TV.

The beautiful rhythm of the professional golfers reminded me that every good swing begins with patience.

After breakfast, I unexpectedly fell asleep.

When I woke up, I made myself an iced café latte.

For about an hour, I felt a little down.

It was simply too hot to go outside, and I didn't want to leave my two dogs alone in the yard under the summer sun.

So I stayed home with them.

Then I opened my laptop and started writing.

Little by little, my energy came back.

That reminded me of a question I sometimes ask myself.

Who is a winner in life?

My answer has never changed.

A winner is someone who tries to live as healthily and happily as possible until the very end.

Not someone who never gets tired.

Not someone who is always cheerful.

Just someone who keeps beginning again, even after feeling tired or discouraged.

Today, my victory wasn't in the garden.

It was simply choosing to begin.

Today's Verdict

Sometimes, the biggest victory is simply starting with "Just 30 minutes."

KR Summary
