The Day I Learned to Do Less

“I did less… and hit it better.”

There was something different about today.

I didn’t try to swing harder.
I didn’t chase distance.
I didn’t force anything.

Instead, I slowed down.

On the backswing, I paused—just for a moment.
Not intentionally dramatic, just enough to feel the rhythm.

And then… I let the swing happen.

Surprisingly, the ball went farther.
But more importantly, it went straighter.

My driver became more stable, with a soft draw.
My irons were precise—my 6 iron consistently carried around 132 meters.
Even my 4 utility reached 145 meters with accuracy.

No extra effort.
No tension.

Just timing.

For the first time, I truly understood something:

Distance doesn’t come from force.
It comes from clean contact.

When the direction is right,
there is no loss.

Today wasn’t about trying harder.
It was about trusting less effort.

And maybe that’s the beginning of real golf.

KR Summary
