Walking the Same Fairway, Not the Same Life - 같은 삶은 아니지만, 같은 페어웨이를 걷는것

Before every round of golf, I still ask myself one question.

"What if my swing falls apart today?"

Then I quietly smile and answer,

"Trust your fundamental swing. Trust yourself. You are Angie."

I say these words before every round because I have experienced many difficult days on the golf course. Those experiences taught me to trust myself instead of my fear.

Perhaps that is also how I have learned about people.

When I was younger, I thought good friendships meant sharing almost everything.

Now I think differently.

I don't believe we need to know every detail of each other's private lives to build a good friendship.

Sometimes, keeping a little personal space helps a friendship last longer.

Recently, I realized this again during a round of golf.

Some people naturally share very personal stories. I respect their experiences because everyone goes through different seasons of life.

However, I also realized something about myself.

I feel more comfortable when friendships focus on enjoying the present moment instead of carrying each other's private burdens.

I enjoy talking about golf, food, travel, funny stories, and everyday life.

We laugh together.

We encourage each other.

For me, that is already enough.

It reminded me how much I value emotional independence and inner peace.

I was born in Korea, but many parts of my personality have always been quite independent.

I left home after middle school to continue my education. Later, I studied in the United States. Even then, I wanted to solve my own problems instead of depending on my parents.

Looking back, I think my family helped me become independent, even without realizing it.

Perhaps that is why I feel comfortable with both Korean and American ways of thinking.

I appreciate the warmth of Korean relationships.

At the same time, I also value personal space, independence, and respecting each other's boundaries.

Maybe I am half Korean and half American in my way of thinking.

As I grow older, I have learned that peaceful friendships are not built by knowing everything about each other.

They are built by trust, respect, and giving each other room to breathe.

Just as I trust my own golf swing, I trust that every person has their own path to walk.

We don't have to walk inside each other's hearts to enjoy walking down the same fairway.

Sometimes, sharing a smile is enough.

KR Summary

Today's Verdict:

Do your best.
Trust yourself.
Respect others.
Let life flow.
