Today's Lucky 15 Minutes — Ruby and Rich's Walk Before the Rain (비 오기 직전 루비와 리치의 산책)
The sky looked a little strange this morning.
It looked like it might rain soon.
But Ruby and Rich needed their morning walk, so we went outside anyway. 😊
And today, we were really lucky.
Not long after we started walking, a few raindrops began to fall.
“Oh, it’s raining!”
So I decided to turn around and go home.
But, of course…
Rich did not want to go home. 😂
Rich wanted to keep going.
I wanted to go home.
So I kept telling him,
“Rich, it’s raining!
It’s going to pour soon.
Come on. Let’s go home.”
Of course, Rich listened very carefully…
but he still wanted to keep going. 😂
Ruby was completely different.
She had already finished her job.
Then she started pulling my leash, as if she were saying,
“Mommy, let’s go home.” 😂
Luckily, Rich finished his job very quickly on our way home, too.
Jackpot!
Both dogs finished their jobs.
And we had only walked for 15 minutes! 🐕🐕
On the way home, I kept singing a little song to them.

“Yummy food is waiting for you, Rich and Ruby.
You two did a good job walking with me.
Let’s go home and have some yummy food!”
🎵
I just kept singing it until we got home. (smile)
And yes…
The power of yummy food is strong. 😂
After we got home, I had breakfast.
Then the rain suddenly started pouring.
Now the sky is very dark.
It looks like we may get more rain soon.
I really hope so. 🌧️🌱
We haven’t had much rain in my area for almost a month.
So I have been quite busy watering my little garden with tap water.
Maybe today, the sky decided to help me.
For Ruby and Rich, it was a 15-minute walk.
For me, it was a little lucky morning.
And for my garden, it was a welcome gift from the sky.
But there is something else I feel every day.
I am always grateful to Ruby and Rich.
They are both bigger than me, but these two big dogs happily follow their little Mommy. 🐕🐕
Sometimes I look at them and think,
“How lucky am I?”
Maybe this is happiness.
Nothing special.
Just two big dogs,
one small Mommy,
a little walk,
and a lot of love.
What a lucky morning! 🍀
Sometimes, happiness is hiding inside a very ordinary 15 minutes.
And when I think about it,
Ruby and Rich may be the beginning of my energy every day.
Of course, when they wake me up in the morning…
I usually want to sleep a little longer. 😂
“Guys… Mommy wants to sleep a little more.” 😂💕
But eventually, I get up, open the door, and go outside with them.
We walk a little,
I smile a little,
I talk to them a little,
and somehow, my day begins.
Two big dogs, one small Mommy.
Maybe this is my little source of energy every day. 🐕🐕💕

오늘 아침 하늘이 조금 이상했다.
금방이라도 비가 올 것 같은 하늘이었다.
그래도 루비와 리치는 아침 산책을 해야 하니
우리는 일단 밖으로 나갔다. 😊
그런데 오늘은 정말 운이 좋았다.
산책을 시작한 지 얼마 되지 않아
빗방울이 하나둘 떨어지기 시작했다.
“어? 비 온다!”
나는 바로 집으로 돌아가기로 했다.
그런데 역시나…
리치는 집에 가고 싶어 하지 않았다. 😂
리치는 계속 앞으로 가고 싶어 했다.
나는 집에 가고 싶었다.
그래서 계속 리치에게 말했다.
“리치야, 비 온다!
곧 많이 올 것 같아.
자, 집에 가자.”
물론 리치는 내 말을 아주 열심히 듣는 것 같았지만…
그래도 계속 앞으로 가고 싶어 했다. ㅎㅎ
그런데 루비는 완전히 달랐다.
루비는 이미 자기 할 일을 끝냈다.
그리고는 내 목줄을 잡아당기기 시작했다.
마치 이렇게 말하는 것처럼.
“엄마, 집에 가자.” 😂
다행히 리치도 집으로 돌아오는 길에
아주 빠르게 자기 할 일을 끝냈다.
잭팟!
두 녀석 모두 할 일을 끝냈다.
그리고 산책 시간은 고작 15분! 🐕🐕
집으로 돌아오는 길에는 내가 계속 작은 노래를 불러줬다.

“맛있는 맘마가 기다리고 있어요, 리치와 루비.
둘이 엄마랑 산책 아주 잘했어요.
집에 가서 맛있는 맘마 먹자~!”

나는 집에 도착할 때까지 계속 이 노래를 불렀다. ^^
역시…
맛있는 맘마의 힘은 강하다. 😂
집에 와서 아침을 먹었다.
그런데 잠시 후 비가 갑자기 쏟아지기 시작했다.
지금은 하늘도 아주 어둡다.
아마 조금 더 비가 올 것 같다.
정말 그랬으면 좋겠다. 🌧️🌱
우리 동네에는 거의 한 달 동안 비가 많이 오지 않았다.
그래서 나는 그동안 수돗물로 작은 텃밭에 물을 주느라 꽤 바빴다.
오늘은 하늘이 나를 도와주기로 했나 보다.
루비와 리치에게는 15분짜리 산책이었고,
나에게는 작은 행운이 가득한 아침이었다.
그리고 내 텃밭에게는
하늘이 보내준 아주 반가운 선물이었다.
그런데 매일 느끼는 또 하나의 고마움이 있다.
나는 항상 루비와 리치에게 고맙다.
둘 다 나보다 큰 녀석들인데,
이 두 큰 진도견이 작은 엄마를 참 잘 따라준다. 🐕🐕
가끔 두 녀석을 바라보면서 생각한다.
“나 참 행복하네.”
어쩌면 이것이 행복인지도 모르겠다.
특별할 것 하나 없는,
큰 강아지 두 마리,
작은 엄마 한 명,
짧은 산책 하나,
그리고 많은 사랑.
참 운 좋은 아침이다. 🍀
가끔 행복은
이렇게 아주 평범한 15분 안에 숨어 있는 것 같다.
그리고 생각해보면,
하루의 엔지의 활력소는 아마 루비와 리치로 시작되는 것 같다.
물론…
아침에 나를 깨우러 올 때는
나도 사실 조금 더 자고 싶다. 😂
“얘들아… 엄마 아직 더 자고 싶은데…” ㅎㅎ
그래도 결국 일어나서 문을 열고,
두 녀석과 함께 밖으로 나간다.
그리고 조금 걷고,
조금 웃고,
조금 이야기하고,
그렇게 나의 하루가 시작된다.

어쩌면 이게
내 하루의 작은 활력소인지도 모르겠다. 🐕🐕💕
