The BMW Ladies Championship will take place in South Korea from October 22 to 25, 2026.
For golf fans, it will be a wonderful opportunity to watch some of the world's best players, including Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, Jin Young Ko, and Hyo Joo Kim.
But there is one player I especially hope to see at this tournament.
Sung Hyun Park.
As a golf fan, I am interested not only in players' scores but also in their journeys. Returning to the top after reaching the highest level is never easy. There must be many challenges that we cannot see from the outside.
That is why I hope Sung Hyun Park will have the opportunity to play her own game and show us what she can do.
Of course, a great result would make me very happy. But more than anything, I hope she stays healthy, enjoys the competition, and finishes each round feeling that she gave it her best.
Golf is a sport in which players compete against one another. At the same time, they must learn to trust their own swings and overcome their own doubts.
Past success can be a source of confidence, but it can also bring pressure. I hope Sung Hyun Park will find her own rhythm and focus on her game rather than comparing herself with anyone else.

2026년 10월 22일부터 25일까지 대한민국에서 BMW 레이디스 챔피언십이 열린다.
넬리 코다, 리디아 고, 고진영, 김효주를 비롯한 세계적인 선수들의 경기를 한국에서 볼 수 있다는 것은 골프 팬들에게 무척 반가운 일이다.
그리고 나는 이번 대회에서 꼭 보고 싶은 선수가 한 명 있다.
바로 박성현 선수다.
골프를 좋아하다 보니 선수들의 성적뿐 아니라 그들이 걸어온 길에도 관심이 간다. 한때 최고의 자리에 올랐던 선수가 다시 자신의 자리를 찾아가는 과정은 결코 쉽지 않을 것이다. 실력만으로 설명할 수 없는 마음의 부담과 수많은 고민도 있을 테니까.
그래서 나는 박성현 선수가 이번 대회에 출전해 자신의 골프를 마음껏 보여주었으면 좋겠다.
물론 좋은 성적까지 거둔다면 더할 나위 없이 기쁠 것이다. 하지만 무엇보다 건강하게 경기를 마치고, 자신이 준비한 플레이를 후회 없이 펼칠 수 있기를 바란다.
골프는 다른 선수와 경쟁하는 스포츠이지만, 결국 자기 자신의 스윙과도 싸워야 하는 운동이다. 때로는 과거의 좋은 성적이 힘이 되기도 하고, 때로는 그 기억이 부담이 되기도 할 것이다.
나는 박성현 선수가 다른 누구와 비교하기보다 자신만의 리듬을 찾으며 경기했으면 좋겠다.
