When My Swing Is Working, I Put YouTube Coaches on Lockdown -

Yesterday, my golf swing felt really good.

The impact felt solid, and my finish came naturally.

I was practicing alone and thought,

“Wow… I look pretty good. 😂😁”

But you know how golfers are.

When something is going well, sometimes we still want to make it even better.

So this morning, I watched YouTube.

I found a video about how to make the backswing easier.

The coach said that keeping the left armpit close to the body could help make the backswing and body rotation easier.

Hmm.
That sounded interesting.

So, of course, I tried it at the range today.

And……

Nope. 😂😁

It was terrible.

When I kept my left armpit close to my body, my rotation actually felt restricted.

I couldn't turn as comfortably as I normally do.

I tried again.

And again.

Still awkward.

I thought,

“Wait… what happened to my swing?”

I had worked hard to find my comfortable swing, and now I was almost losing it because I wanted to improve it.

Honestly, I was pretty frustrated today. 😂😁

Finally, I stopped trying to copy the new movement.

I told myself,

“Okay. Just go back to my own swing.”

So I went back to the way I normally swing.

Little by little, my body started to relax again.

By the last 20 minutes, I was finally hitting the ball comfortably again.

Whew.

That was a relief.

And I learned something important today.

Learning new things is good.

But not every good tip is good for my swing.

A movement that feels natural for one golfer may feel completely wrong for another.

And when my swing is already working well,
maybe I don't need to fix it.

So I am adding a new golf rule to my list:

When my swing is working, YouTube coaches are on lockdown. 😂

If something is going wrong,
then I will look for the reason.

If I find a new tip,
I will first ask my own body,

“Does this actually feel better?”

Golf is funny.

Sometimes, trying too hard to improve can make things worse.

Maybe life is a little like that, too.

When something is already working well,
we don't always need to change it just because someone else does it differently.

If it feels comfortable, natural, and repeatable,

that may already be my right way.

So today was a difficult day on the range.

But at least I learned something valuable.

Next time my swing is working well…

YouTube coaches, please stay outside the door.

I'm busy protecting my own swing. 😂🏌️‍♀️

KR Version
