Yesterday, I Lost Because I Was Jealous. ๐Ÿ˜‚ - ์–ด์ œ, ๋ถ€๋Ÿฌ์›Œ์„œ ๋‚ด๊ฐ€ ์กŒ๋‹ค. ^^

People in Korea often say, “If you’re jealous, you lose.”

Well, yesterday, I lost. And today, I’m still laughing about it. ๐Ÿ˜„

Let me tell you why.

Four Women Were Dancing on the Golf Course!

Yesterday, I had an early morning tee time at Shineville Country Club in Jeju.

The weather forecast had been worrying me since the night before. A strong autumn typhoon was expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds to Jeju from around noon.

Our tee time was 7:50 a.m., so there was a chance we might get caught in the rain during the last two or three holes.

I spent the evening preparing clothes, an umbrella, and all sorts of things I might need. Even that morning, I kept wondering what to wear. What if my clothes got wet? What would be comfortable in the wind?

I finally got dressed, drove to the golf course, and joined my group.

While waiting on the golf cart near the first tee, I noticed something happening in the distance.

Four women, who looked to be around my age, were dancing on the grass near the putting practice green!

At first, I wondered what they were doing.

Then I realized they had music playing on a smartphone and were dancing enthusiastically, as if dancing were their warm-up exercise before golf.

They weren't just stretching their arms and legs. They were really dancing and having a wonderful time!

I couldn't stop watching them.

You know, years ago, I might have thought, “Oh, come on! Aren't those ladies a little too old to be acting like that?”

But my reaction was completely different this time.

I thought, “Wow! They're having such a good time! How wonderful to have four friends who can enjoy themselves like that. They're so cute! I'm actually jealous!”

So I took two photos from a distance.

Then I walked closer and told them, “You all look like you're having so much fun! Please keep going. You're making the people watching you happy, too!”

And I really meant it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

And Then, Someone Made a Hole-in-One!

We started our round at 7:50 a.m.

As we played, I suddenly heard loud cheers coming from the group ahead of us near a par-three hole.

Our caddie told us that someone in the group ahead had made a hole-in-one!

Naturally, we joined in from a distance and shouted, “Congratulations! Hole-in-one!”

And guess what?

One of the four women who had been dancing was the one who made the hole-in-one!

I couldn't believe it. What a wonderful surprise!

Of course, dancing before golf doesn't guarantee a hole-in-one. But watching those women enjoy themselves so freely, and then hearing that one of them had made such an exciting shot, made the whole experience even more delightful.

Their happiness seemed to spread across the golf course.

We were all smiling and cheering for someone we hadn't even met yet.

As for the weather, we were lucky. Although we had a little rain just before the final hole, we managed to finish our round without getting caught in the heavy rain.

What a relief!

We Met Again in the Sauna

But the story didn't end there.

After golf, I went into the sauna and heard some cheerful women chatting nearby.

I had a feeling I knew who they were.

So I asked, “Excuse me, were you the four ladies dancing in front of us on the golf course?”

They were!

I told them again how much I had enjoyed watching them and how envious I was of their wonderful energy.

Then I asked, “And did one of you really make a hole-in-one?”

One of them smiled and said that she was the lucky golfer!

The four women were chatting happily, sharing stories about golf and their trip to Jeju. They had come all the way to the island for a three-night, four-day golf trip.

Even though we had just met, we started talking as if we had known one another for a while.

I listened to their stories and thought how wonderful it must be to have a group of friends who could travel together, play golf, dance before a round, and celebrate a hole-in-one with so much excitement.

They were spreading happiness without even trying.

And there I was, sitting in the sauna, enjoying their happy energy all over again.

Today, I Lost Because I Was Jealous. ^^

I usually think of myself as someone who spreads a little happiness wherever I go.

But yesterday, I discovered that there are people out there who might be even better at it than I am!

I didn't make anyone laugh that day.

Instead, I caught their happy virus.

And you know what? It felt wonderful.

Even today, whenever I think about those four women dancing on the golf course, I find myself smiling again.

They probably have no idea how much joy they gave to someone they had never met before.

That's what I love about life.

Sometimes, happiness doesn't come from a big achievement, an expensive trip, or something we've been waiting for.

Sometimes, it comes from watching four women dance on a golf course.

Sometimes, it comes from cheering for a stranger's hole-in-one.

And sometimes, it comes from sharing a happy conversation with people you met only a few hours ago.

We don't always have to be the ones spreading happiness.

Sometimes, we can simply open our hearts, enjoy someone else's joy, and let their happiness find its way into our own lives.

The world is full of people who remind us that life is still worth enjoying.

Yesterday, four women reminded me of that.

And today, I'm still smiling.

People in Korea usually say, “If you’re jealous, you lose.”

Well, yesterday, I lost.

But if losing means feeling this happy, I'm happy to lose again! ๐Ÿ˜„

One Swing Philosophy — A Life Still in Progress.

And Today, the Wind and Rain Are Blowing in Jeju

The rain I expected finally arrived yesterday afternoon, along with strong winds.

The weather has become a little calmer now, but the wind and rain are still going on.

Strangely, though, I feel quite peaceful today.

I keep thinking about the four women I met on the golf course yesterday. I remember them dancing happily, the exciting hole-in-one, and the cheerful conversation we shared later in the sauna.

Every time I think about them, I smile again. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Today, I'm staying home instead of going out.

Soft autumn cafรฉ music is playing from my tablet, and I'm writing about yesterday's experience while listening to the music.

Yesterday, I enjoyed watching other people having fun on the golf course.

Today, I'm enjoying those happy memories all over again by turning them into a blog post.

Isn't that wonderful?

Happy moments may pass, but when we remember them and enjoy them again, the happiness can stay with us a little longer.

A rainy day doesn't have to be a gloomy or boring day.

When the weather is nice, I can go out and enjoy golf. When the weather isn't good, I can stay home, listen to music, and write.

As long as I have things I enjoy, there are so many ways to make a day special.

Yesterday, I caught the happy virus from those four women.

Today, I'm smiling again as I write about them.

Perhaps enjoying life doesn't mean creating something special every single day.

Perhaps it means finding little moments of happiness in ordinary life and taking the time to enjoy them.

That's exactly what I'm doing today.

The wind and rain are still blowing outside, but inside my heart, yesterday's happy memories and today's autumn cafรฉ music are playing together.

Ah, life feels good. ๐Ÿ˜Š

If I have to live anyway, I might as well enjoy it as much as I can!

And once again, my life is still in progress.

A Life Still in Progress.
